Situated on the River Bliss, Trowbridge is town in the county of Wiltshire, just southeast of Bath. A major centre for cloth production, Trowbridge was always known as a busy part of industrial England and was even referred to as the “Manchester of the West”. The town is based around the Motte-and-Bailer Castle with Fore Street still following the path that was once the ditch around the castle.
